Values
Authenticity: Come as you are. We invite our guests and fellow peers to connect with their truest self and take pride in their uniqueness when it comes to sexuality, gender and Identity. We aim to honor all types of bodies, spirits and dimensions of ones self.
Unapologetic: *Repeat after me* THIS IS YOUR BEST BODY. We encourage and honor the unique ways your body shows up for you each day especially today. We recognize the importance of body autonomy and respecting that all bodies show up with access needs that deserve to always be met. Be unapologetic about your access needs, the ways your body needs support and the way you show up in your body. Take up as much space as you need to.
Respect: Everyone deserves to be respected. We aim to prioritize respect in our shared spaces by respecting limits, access needs, the way they show up in this world. We do not believe in shaming others, denying or invalidating one's experiences, identities or access needs.
Inclusivity: We ARE beyond our bodies. This statement was created as one of our inner projects name to build inclusivity in our communities about the ways we show up in this world. Our work is powerful and it is not determined by the way of our looks. Our work is a priority and our looks are ICONIC.
Mutual Aid: The transgender community have always and continues to be innovated. Our need for survival requires us to bring our siblings when we succeed. This also means it is important for us to build an economical ecosystem that is sustainable for all of us. There is no liberation without all of us. We invest in eachother as a means of self care and a way to show love. Keeping money in our community means we have housing, food, medicine and so much more. We deserve to thrive and receive in abundance!
Representation: It is of the upmost importance to see ourselves into the future. Respecting ones pronouns, abilities, housing, food, healthcare, medicine and providing stability is suicide prevention. It’s important to see ourselves celebrated through visual storytelling. It is suicide prevention to see myself in a beautiful painting where I am celebrated, uplifted and accepted.
